Amazing view. And really peaceful! The walk up from the car park is steep. There is a chair lift but it does not always operate during off season

Grueling walk from the car park to the top but an amazing view makes it all worthwhile. Would recommend a decent fitness level on the way up, alternatively catch the return chairlift for $10

The walking track up and down is very steep but doable. If daunted by the gradient there is the option of a chairlift. Regardless once at the top the walking tracks are well formed and an easy walk for all levels of fitness. Allow about an hour to walk the full loop and take in all the breathtaking 360 degree views. Be warned though the weather can change very quickly and can be very cold and windy on top. Be prepared. The climb up and down is just over 400 metres (elevation about 140m) and circular track roughly 1 kilometre. For the health nuts and joggers my wife recommends a brisk walk up the hill, two laps jogging around the top and steady descent for a good workout.

Be one with nature as you inhale the salty ocean air high above Stanley and enjoy breathtaking 360° views and into infinity over the Bass Strait. The circuit walk atop The Nut will both relax and pump the heart rate!

After a ride up on the chairlift enjoy A brisk walk around the top of Circular Head. You can see for ever and the information signs have plenty of explaining panels.
