  We stayed in 'Pelican' and could not see or hear the other cabins, the beach was a short stroll and mostly deserted, it really felt like we were the only people on the planet at times and was just the kind of break we really needed.

  I spent two lovely nights at this gorgeous location. Needing a solitary weekend away I couldn't have asked for more; a beautifully appointed cabin right on the beach with stunning views and privacy. Great heating for the winter months, comfortable bed, well set out kitchen and bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. My favourite aspect may be the round window seat on which I whiled away an afternoon reading and napping in the sun. Janette was very welcoming and helpful with all of my inquiries and needs. Excellent information provided for local attractions and wildlife. I highly recommend Beachside Retreat West Inlet for anyone wishing to get away for a relaxing, rejuvenating time in a private location while still being close to some of the wonderful attractions and scenery the North West coast of Tasmania has to offer.

  I stayed in the 'Pelican' retreat for a week in February 2013. I'd been looking for somewhere to get away from everything and everyone for a little while as my life had been truly hectic and emotionally draining. My wish list for accommodation included: being stylish; suitable for one person; air conditioned; self-contained; private; and being in a serene location. Beachside Retreat West Inlet met all of these things when searching on-line (a surprisingly few places ticked all boxes). Pleasingly the retreat was even better than expected. The solitude I so wanted was provided in spades! The Architect responsible for the design of the 'Pelican' retreat should be congratulated for creating such a beautiful space to relax in by yourself. Plus Janette and Chris couldn’t have been less obtrusive if they tried. It really felt like I had a piece of the world to myself for the week such was the rarity of seeing another person (I only encountered one other guest on my daily walks on the amazingly beautiful private beach). I honestly came away feeling refreshed and reenergized. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this retreat to people who want to get away from their lives for a while.
